1. My favorite photo was of Ms. Shuttlesworth because of the colors and it captures a lot of emotion and shows the happiness that she was feeling. The rules that are evident are leading lines and cropping.

2. My least favorite photo was the girls softball photo. I felt like the background was too busy and distracting her hand is somewhat blurry.

3. I would've chosen the story about the marching band going to London since I went on that trip and it would be fun to write a whole story when you are there so there is a lot more emotion and truth put into it.

4. From a 1 to 10, I would give it a 6 or a 7. Many of the photos were very strong but there a few that were rough because of bad cropping, looking crowded and many other factors.

Vocab and High School Newspapers

1. My favorite was the "Blue and Gold Issue" because it was very well put together. There were many elements that enhanced it but did not make it too busy. There were a good amount of photos and stories and the headlines made it sound more interesting to read.

2. The "Ladue Panorama Issue" appealed to my eye very quickly because it stood out because it consisted of mainly photos and no stores. It was more colorful than the others considering the photos added that color and it consisted of things that most of their audience would like to do or relate to.

3. My favorite was "Recap: Homecoming" simply because it was the only headline on the whole cover page. But also it is very interesting and the audience that this newspaper is directed to would find it very interesting most likely.

4. There are two stories on my favorite front page.

5. The things that are the same throughout all the front pages is a title of the newspaper and it will most likely relate to the school or just be the name of the school in some variation. Also there is always a graphic that is either a photo, cartoon or design that is not text.

6. The things that vary, are the size of the dominant photo because it must work and correspond with the surrounding stories and elements. Some covers even have no pictures but a graphic, non-camera-taken photo that fills the whole thing besides the title of the newspaper and maybe a headline.

7. The two are mainly the same with a few subtle differences. The things stay the same is that most school newspapers have a story while all world newspapers have at least one story. Also there is a dominant photo for everything and it is never just text and there will always have a title.

Front Pages of The World

1. My favorite front page is Herald News from Woodland Park, NJ, USA. I chose this one because it is very colorful and that is a factor I think draws viewers in because color is interesting. Also it is a funny dominant photo because behind the lady walking through the snow, is a ad for swimsuits which is very ironic.

2. My favorite headline is "Sugar Tax Touted to Fight Obesity" because this is a problem for our country and I believe many people are aware of this. The reason that this is my favorite is because it is something most people would be interested and can attract the readers compared to something that sounds less boring such as politics or something along those lines.

3. There are three stories on the front page.

4. The very first thing I noticed is there is one photo bigger than the others. Second, one subtitle for a story is bolder than the others and I'm assuming they did this in order for that to be the first people want to read, therefore making it the most interesting one. Finally, there is an index as to what is in the newspaper and some sort of ad.

5.  The things that vary are the number of stories, having small photos or big (but there is always a dominant), where the index is, the amount ads and how long the stories are. The most obvious one is how everything is laid to because not every single newspaper cover will have the same design and elements and factors will in different spots.
